At Swiss Berner Bears, we are devoted to preserving the exceptional beauty, structure, and temperament of the Bernese Mountain Dog. We are drawn to their balanced movement, noble presence, and the gentle, devoted spirit that defines the breed.
Our dogs live as cherished members of our family, raised within our home and woven into our daily lives. They accompany us on walks, travels, and quiet evenings alike — developing the confidence and stability that comes from intentional living and meaningful human connection.
We are committed to excellence through continual education and thoughtful breeding practices. We collaborate with respected breeders, veterinarians, trainers, and breed organizations, always seeking to deepen our understanding and uphold the highest standards of health, structure, and temperament.
We continuously strive to deepen our knowledge about the Bernese breed, reading the latest publications, talking to befriended breeders, veterinarians, trainers, groomers, & activists of Kennel Clubs.
Our puppies are raised in a carefully curated home environment, where early neurological stimulation, structured enrichment, and consistent socialization are foundational. From their very first days, they are nurtured with purpose — ensuring they mature into refined, confident, and deeply devoted companions.
Our puppies grow up in the house, they have constant contact with their mother and our other dogs and children. From the beginning, we take care of their socialization, accustom them to household noises and equipment, and always provide contact with other people and other animals. Our program is designed specifically for our environment, where puppies are raised on the farm, surrounded by cattle and horses, tractors , 4-wheelers and so on. We explore our pond and creek twice a day starting at 5.5 weeks old.

A Personal Approach
At Swiss Berner Bears, raising puppies is not just a job—it's a passion. Unlike many breeders, we dedicate extraordinary time and care to every puppy. From the moment they’re born, I spend countless hours ensuring they are clean, healthy, and well-socialized. I observe each puppy daily, getting to know their individual personalities and forming a deep bond with them over the course of eight weeks.
A Lifetime Commitment
I believe that bringing a Bernese puppy into your home is a lifelong commitment, and I’m here to support you through every step of that journey. That's why I carefully screen all potential families to ensure that our puppies go to homes where they will be loved and cared for forever. My commitment doesn’t end when you take your puppy home—I expect to remain involved in their life, offering guidance and support for the lifetime of your dog.
ENS Program
Starting on day three, I implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) with every puppy. Additionally, I have developed a unique imprinting Program designed specifically for our environment, where puppies are raised on the farm, surrounded by cattle and horses, tractors, 4-wheelers and so on. We explore our pond and creek twice a day starting at 5.5 weeks old. This early exposure helps our puppies grow into confident and well-rounded companions. While I may not be as active as some on social media, the time I spend with our puppies—nurturing them and preparing them for their future homes—speaks volumes about the dedication and love I put into every aspect of raising them.
